My Own Server??

ok, so i tried to create my own server and im not sure if it worked...
so here is the ip, try it out.
if it doesnt work, tell me and try to give me any tips
192.168.0.196:7777
.usa SupRa BLS Server

oh and i need to know how to add maps to the map list..and all those map vote things, any help people?

This thing right here, provides

- Mapvote (I reccomend you get MapvoteLA13, the one where there are 4 sections, the sections can represent diffrent Mods etc. You should have 2 slots for reg. CTF, 1 for CTF4, and another for Monsterhunt and LMS)

- CTF maps (there are two huge packs, get both of them, it is worth it.)

- CTF4 and other CTF variations (I reccomend you get CTF4 and reg. CTF)

- ASC server controllers.

- Anti Cheats

In other words, there is a shitload of stuff, the 2 map packs have leage edition maps, and plenty of other GREAT maps that didn't get the attention they deserved.

Yes I'm sure, I tryed that box with my server, although my server failed (as far as I know) I play alot with the bots. No virises, I assure you.

I have a server, but I don't have good upload.
Is 2x Quad Core Xeon enough? But with 192kbit upload...

Also Kron, 192.168.0.196 is your internal IP (only LAN). You need external IP for UT server. Get it from: http://www.ip-adress.com/

Intructions: Open up a file you like in that box Choo provided for you. Some of them are zipped folder that contain

.u

.int

.umx

.utx

.uax

and .unr files.


Now, these files all go in a certain location in your Unreal Tournament folder. (How you get to Unreal folder: Open up my computer -> Drive :C -> UnrealTournament) When you open the folder you will see ten folders. I will label the folders you will never use folders with NI (DO NOT DELETE ANY OF THESE FOLDERS, EVEN THE NON-IMPORTANT ONES)

Cache (NI)

Help (NI)

Logs (NI)

Maps

Music

NetgamesUSA.com (NI)

Sounds

System (THE MOST IMPORTANT!!!)

Textures

Web (NI)



Here is where all these files go.

.u go into System

.int into System as well

.umx files go into Music

.utx goes into Textures

.uax into Sounds

.unr into Maps


Screenshots are also in the System folder, but you usually take them out instead of putting something in.


Other times, you will be forced to use a program called UMOD, UMOD is commonly used for large packages.

UMOD organizes everything for you, just select the destination folder (which has to be your Unreal Tournament folder) and click Ok, and it does everything for you.
